Turning circle is not the same as “will it fit”
Vehicle specifications often publish a curb-to-curb turning circle. It is useful, but it describes a wheel path—not the full rectangle of the body.
Wheelbase controls how quickly the vehicle rotates
Longer wheelbases generally require a larger path for the same steering angle. That is why two vehicles with similar overall length can feel very different in a tight driveway.
Overhang creates corner swing
The front bumper extends ahead of the front axle and the rear bumper extends behind the rear axle. During a turn, those corners sweep paths that can clip a wall or outer edge even when the axle path itself looks safe.
Published turning diameter is still valuable

When to use a professional swept-path tool
If a construction decision depends on a few inches, use scaled CAD or a dedicated vehicle swept-path package with a verified vehicle template, or physically test the maneuver before permanent work.
